Peace forum is a not for profit charitable and non-governmental organization registered under The Indian Trusts Act of 1882 vide.Regd.No.60/IV/2016 dated 20thApril 2016 and has been established by Haliga Dayanand, retired Banker and development Professional in Hyderabad along with group of professionals who shared a dream to work on a people-centric model of development to empower the poor and marginalized in the areas of public health, education, women empowerment, community development to work towards social and financial inclusion and various socio-economic cultural, educational, health and relief activities.
Peace Forum strongly believes that ensuring socio-economic development for the poor, marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society is the most significant step towards poverty alleviation and human development. Capacity development support through information, education and organization for their better access to rights and entitlements. Mobilizing and organizing community group with focus on Dalits / Adivasis. Our aim is to create awareness in the community on issues relating to the status, rights and problems of women, environmental education for slum dweller and rural poor, taking up projects on various socio, economic, educational, cultural, health, environmental issues and relief activities for the members and their community benefit. The main focus areas are on capacity development of community groups in order to help people to see that they have common concerns, encourages people to work together on these issues, support the collective activities of independent community groups and networks, promotes values of equality, inclusion, participation and cooperation, increases people’s capacity to influence decisions affecting their lives, enables public authorities to work in partnership with voluntary and community sector bodies, and community representatives.
Peace forum also aims at empowering the vulnerable, weaker section of the society and women of the rural areas Creation of precise environment for women to live with dignity and participate as equal partners in development. Working in close partnership with Community based Organizations, Administration & NGOs and main streaming the social, cultural and economic empowerment process for the women and children. Social justice and empowerment, livelihood enhancement of the people residing in the target community
